In 1950, the Min-Aquabats ski team was started. For the past 55 years, the ski show has entertained visitors 3 nights per week during the summer. Each night the stands are PACKED with viewers. The show features young men and women doing jumps,
group acrobatics,
barefoot skiers, silly clowns, and many exciting events. They had a barefoot skier with a harness pulling a slalom skier/jumper. He pulled him over 3/4 of a mile!
To be a Min-Aquabat is a status symbol in Minocqua. When they announce the team during the show, you learn that members come from Wisconsin (of course), Illinois, Minnesota, Colorado and even Florida! What an amazing way to spend your summer!
